Applications are the best way for us to start getting to know you as a writer and to learn which areas of writing you're most interested in focusing on. Admission to the Chase Hill School is not based on assessments of your skill or your writing sample. The sample simply gives us a better sense of how and how well we'll be able to help you fulfill your goals. Don't be intimidated--and thank you for applying!
After receiving the application, Mary usually recommends a brief telephone chat with the parent or adult student followed by a trial tutorial. This allows student and instructor to begin building a rapport, to gain a clearer sense of each other's style, and gauge their "fit" as a team. If the student enjoys the session and enrolls in one of our programs, we'll only charge half-price for that tutorial. If not, we won't ask for a cent :) |
